Our client are a major ecommerce company who provide one of the largest classified sales platforms in the world with a client base in forty countries and millions of users. They have recently established a startup arm of the business which focuses on the used industrial machinery and commercial vehicles market. They are seeking a new sales director to join their Berlin office.


  • Building and maintaining key account relationships
  • Oversight and measurement of KPIs
  • Improving on and driving forward the global sales programme
  • Maintaining sales targets and analysing current market trends
  • Developing your knowledge of the commercial vehicles sector and expanding your network of key contacts

Required Skills

  • At least five years sales experience in the German/DACH market
  • High levels of energy, driven to achieve by hitting sales targets and building the business both in Europe and internationally
  • Excellent account management skills alongside the capability to seize the initiative and develop business in new contexts and geographies
  • Deep knowledge of automotive sales
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment
  • German native speaker with excellent written and spoken English

Nice to have

  • Experience in the ecommerce and/or telecomms market
  • The confidence to work in a multicultural environment with the capability to interact with key stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • An outgoing, personable character with the ability to inspire other colleagues to achieve business and key sales targets
