We have a new and exciting opportunity available for a Commercial Sales Manager to join our client, a specialist in their field, who are based in Essex.

As a Commercial Sales Manager you will be responsible for leading the Commercial Sales Team to sell products to new and existing customers, including corporate sales clients and schemes.

Working Monday – Friday between the hours of 9:00am – 5:30pm, our client is offering a salary of up to £50,000 per annum dependent on experience as well as a 20% bonus.

Main Responsibilities of Commercial Sales Manager:

  • Managing the Commercial Sales Team
  • Presenting to relevant providers to enable quotations to be provided
  • Growing the schemes business
  • Establishing and encouraging effective relationships with clients and colleagues to ensure excellent service is provided
  • Developing and promoting the business to maximise opportunities and sales performance

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities of Commercial Sales Manager:

  • Manage commercial sales and operations on a daily basis
  • Drive forward sales and grow the business
  • Manage existing and forge new relationships and deals
  • Ensure the team meet key sales KPIs and deliver against targets
  • Maintain the highest level of service for clients
  • Achieve daily, weekly and monthly targets
  • Share best practice and offer ideas for continuous improvement
  • Develop relevant knowledge and skills and attend training as required
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and procedures
  • Conduct 1-2-1 sessions with the team and ensure staff awareness of all key PKIs
  • Deal with client enquiries and provide them with professional support and accurate information
  • Act as first point of contact for escalated enquiries
  • Establish effective relationships with clients, providers and colleagues to ensure excellent service is provided
  • Develop and promote the business to maximise opportunities

Personal Profile of Commercial Sales Manager:

  • Cert CII qualified or working towards
  • Commercial Insurance brokerage experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, and ideally Open GI
  • You will have a flexible approach to working hours to deliver the results in an ever-changing market
  • Be dynamic, self-motivated enthusiastic individual with a passion and flare for sales
  • You must have a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality and delivering income and be a natural forward planner who critically assesses their own performance
  • You will be credible, and comfortable in dealing with various customers types
  • Reliable, tolerant, and determined, you will be a good communicator and able to see things from the other person’s point of view
  • You will be well-presented and business like and keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability
  • You will have the ability to get on with others and be a leader
  • Have excellent, proven management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Be polite, tactful and friendly character
  • An understanding of numbers and planning
