Sales Ledger Officer - Growing Business - Permanent - Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham - Hays Accountancy & Finance

Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with a leading and rapidly growing organization to recruit for a dynamic and hands-on Sales Ledger Officer. A permanent and varied position based on the outskirts of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Working within the finance team, liaising closely with the Sales Teams, to oversee and deliver systematic Invoicing, chasing debt and Credit Checking for the business. This role offers the opportunity for an individual to build on existing processes to enhance current reporting.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will ensure that all invoices coming into the company are processed accurately and in a timely fashion. In time the position will offer a hybrid of remote/office working. This is a fantastic role from someone who is keen to learn and is wanting to gain more experience in Finance or an experienced finance professional looking to add value.

Your new role

Key duties will involve raising/checking monthly invoice runs, invoicing daily amendments, credit checking through Credit Safe to Identify Appropriate Terms for Customers, along with creating sales ledger customer accounts. You will create payment schedules from the system, deal with any queries relating to payments and ensure invoices are paid in a timely fashion. You will chase overdue debt when needed, be involved in monthly direct debit mandates and any related sales ledger processes. You will be given the opportunity to build on existing processes and improve the sales ledger department. The opportunity will offer development and progression for the right candidate and training will be provided, but you will need some core finance experience.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on Sales Ledger Officer role you will need experience within a similar position, strong attention to detail and key communication skills to build internal/external relationships. You will be able to manage workloads and meet deadlines, along with having strong numerical skills, and key attention to detail. You will be comfortable using a variety of finance systems, key data entry skills and have basic MS excel skills. You will be pro-active with a positive attitude and willing to learn/adapt within a growing organization.

This exciting Sales Ledger Officer role is offering between £22,000 - £24,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham.
