Sales Ledger Clerk

SF Group are currently recruiting for a Sales Ledger Clerk to join an expanding and fast paced accounts department in Burton. The role is to be based in Burton and will offer parking and excellent working facilities.

Role Objective/Purpose:
To assist the Shared Services Supervisor with the overall administration and processing of departmental ledgers to ensure accuracy and efficiency of all information so that the business is fully supported and financial deadlines met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily organisation and management of workload ensuring all deadlines are met
  • To provide effective reports and information to the Shared Services Supervisor and Group Reporting Senior Finance Manager
  • Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements
  • Process all sales invoices daily and check accuracy against sales database system
  • Review, investigate, adjust and correct the sales ledger to ensure accuracy at all times
  • Email all customers with account balance notifications
  • Prepare weekly reconciliations of operational systems to Sage for sales invoices
  • Deal with all telephone calls and email correspondence with customers
  • Set up all new customer accounts and obtain accurate relevant information from sales team
  • Assist with the preparation of daily bank reconciliations
  • Prepare analysis and data required for monthly management accounts
  • Prepare stock lists as required by Sales Team
  • Update pipeline sheet throughout the day for all payments from customers and release order to warehouse as required
  • Prepare receipts email notification to Sales Team at 9am, 1pm and 3pm daily
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties defined by the Company to ensure business objectives/requirements are met

Personal Skills and Key Competencies:

  • Qualified AAT or equivalent, working towards professional qualification
  • Strong processing skills to ensure high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to liaise with customers and provide comprehensive analysis
