A rapidly expanding company local to Colchester is looking for an experienced Sales Ledger Clerk with a keen attention to detail. Initially this role will be a 6 month temporary basis with the potential to go permanent and take on more responsibility within the accounts team.

Your new role
This is an exciting time to join the team as they have experienced growth as a business. They are looking for an experienced sales ledger clerk to join the team in Colchester for a period of 6 months.
Your role will involve creating sales invoices based on labour cost/charges. You will be responsible for raising the correct sales invoice to the client and follow-up for payment. This is a high volume and fast-paced department where accurate processing skills are essential to meet the deadlines. You will reconcile statements, allocate cash to relevant projects as well as contacting their customers for payment and in some cases agree a re-payment plan.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience as a sales ledger clerk in a previous role is essential as well as some credit control experience. You will have an understanding of month end and management accounts so that you understand the implications of inputting data correctly. You will have a very keen eye for detail and a good knowledge of Excel and VLOOKUP. Experience of STAR and SAP would be beneficial, however not essential. You will have confidence in investigating and answering queries as well as talking to management.
