An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Ledger Clerk in Guildford. The role is a 16 week temporary position with a possibility of extension, working full time hours 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. There may be some need for Saturday cover on an ad-hoc basis. Due to the nature of this role an immediate start would be required (1 week or less notice). The role will be paying between £10 and £12.50ph dependant on experience.
You will be working as a part of a small, very friendly team and reporting to the finance manager of a well-known construction company on the outskirts of Guildford.
You will be responsible for logging sales invoices and prepping the credit control team members for outstanding payment collections. You will be posting credits and debits. All members of the team require great customer service skills and need to be confident communicating on the phone. This is due to customer calls coming straight through to the main office number. The company use an in-house system that training will be given on. Confident Excel skills will be crucial for you to succeed in this role.
Flexibility will also be essential in this role as cover for other areas of accounts may be needed on an ad-hoc basis. Should this occur all training will be given.
