Sales Ledger Clerk - Bath- up to £21k

My client is major telecommunications company operating in the South West, due to continued growth they are looking to take on a Sales Ledger Clerk to help assist the current accounts team

The Role

This is a sales ledger processing role and you will be responsible for the preparation of sales invoices, ledger maintenance and dealing with any internal and external queries. You should have a keen eye for detail and be experienced in the maintenance of multiple sales ledgers, preparing timely updates to management on the balances contained therein.

You’ll be reporting to the Financial Controller. Working with accuracy and time efficiency, the sales ledger clerk will be able to enjoy an autonomous and varied role.

What you’ll be doing

  • Raising and issuing sales Invoices
  • Maintain sales ledger records in and off system
  • Monitor payments received and balances due
  • Allocating all monies received to customer accounts
  • Account and statement reconciliations
  • Management of client debt balances and chasing outstanding accounts
  • Resolving queries on accounts and updating records
  • Issuing monthly statements to business customer
  • Liaise with internal and external bodies to resolve queries

Ideal Candidate

  • 2 years’ sales ledger experience
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • You must be confident working under pressure and comfortable working to tight deadlines
  • Work accurately and effectively with minimal supervision
  • Can communicate at all levels, phone, email, etc
  • Computer literate / IT skills as required to carry out job
