Our client is a world leader in lifting equipment manufacture and they are presently seeking a Sales Manager for the Northern Region (Scotland down as far as Sheffield). You will be responsible for selling a revolutionary new material handling storage and retrieval solution. It is modular by design and so completely configurable and can be tailored to customer requirements. The system is managed through a cloud based web portal that allows real time information and reporting to be available any time, any place where there in an internet connection.
As Sales Manager, you will be expected to carry out the following responsibilities:
Promotion and increase of sales in the northern region;
Prepare and perform quotations and proposals;
Follow up on quotations;
Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, etc;
Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials, etc;
Appraise order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, etc.
In order to carry out the above role, you must have a proven successful track record in technical sales and a background in supply chain and warehouse management or manufacturing operations is critical to this position. You should be able to easily understand customer processes and have excellent project management skills as installations will also be part of your responsibility.
