Aston Charles are looking for a Sales Executive to join a commercial insurance broker based in Halifax.
This broker has a well-deserved reputation for providing a comprehensive broking, claims and risk management service to its diverse client base. It is fiercely committed to remaining independent, boasts a fantastic working environment, a talented management team, and superb offices in which to work from.
You will be based within the Corporate Team, which currently employs one full-time and two part-time staff. Your main duties will be to:
- Contact a wide remit of both local and national business from pre-qualified data to establish contact with decision makers.
- Overcome gatekeepers’ objections, where appropriate, in order to identify key decision makers
- Collect as much information as possible on the potential cover required to establish how to win the business, either through price or gaps in cover.
- Build rapport and a relationship with decision makers to book an appointment for the Sales Team to visit and pitch for the business.
You’ll be targeted on appointments booked, which works out at a very reasonable 25-30 per month (between 1-2 a day). My client is looking for quality in your approach, as opposed to quantity, however you will be heavily incentivised in both areas.
For the career-minded, you will have the opportunity to progress into an external role, once you have proven your ability. This business will support you with industry professional qualifications, so that you can build on the required competency level in order to visit clients and discuss their requirements.
It is essential that you have previous experience in B2B appointment setting; this can either be as part of a wider role, should this be an area that you particularly enjoy. It is imperative that you have outstanding communication skills, with the ability to match your approach to a wide spectrum of personalities. You will be strategic in your approach, tenacious, determined, and importantly, comfortable working in a targeted sales environment.
In return, you will be rewarded with a lucrative salary and healthy, uncapped bonus scheme. Top performers can double their basic salary with the commission structure here, enjoying an OTE of circa £50K.
