Roles and Responsibilities:
Exciting unique events demand a professional and creative approach. Develop deep relationships with key clients, encouraging repeat business. Manage your team of four event planners to maximise the value of each event. Drive their performance utilising our HR dept.’s training programmes and actively generate new profitable business, working with the support of the marketing team. Report to the board as part of the senior management team, share ideas and bring new concepts to market - helping keep company as one of the market leaders.
Person specification: The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level in a relevant or related subject and have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar sales management role, ideally from within the hospitality industry.
Essential Criteria includes: • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to comfortably converse with individuals both inside and outside the organisation • Attention to detail - ensuring the sales and events department follow the defined systems and processes • Highly sales driven approach focused around metrics and reporting against KPI’s Marketing Coordinator Sep 15 • Experience using CRM and event management systems, sales pipeline tools and Microsoft Office • Leadership - as a role model, the ability to manage and motivate your team to achieve greater results Desirable Criteria: • Extensive contacts in the events/hospitality industry • Knowledge of the River Thames (in Greater London) and nearby London landmarks •
