We are now looking to recruit a Sales & Estimating Manager to join our team. The person we are looking for needs to be a driven sales professional with a track record for achieving and exceeding sales targets through their own initiative and by leading their team.
Lead a team of estimators to maximize and convert sales opportunities in order to grow sales of target products and contribute toward increasing company profits.
Motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer service in order to win business ahead of competitors.
Maximise profitability through awareness of margins and promote sales of technical glass products. Identify new customers, products and markets sectors.
Analyse and review statistical data in order to drive profitable growth and prepare reports and proposals for review with the senior management and commercial teams.
Utilise own skills and experience to establish best practice across all areas of responsibility.
Lead by example and take a hands-on approach by demonstrating best practice in relation to vetting enquiries, generating quotations and telephone contact with prospects.
Provide support to the team to ensure their workload is organised to help them work to their full potential.
Build relationships with key customers and prospects to ensure we capture and maximise opportunities to convert.
Prioritise incoming enquiries for the estimating team in order to aid efficiency and effectiveness.
Proactively encourage a positive selling culture within the team.
Monitor market activity by sector, including feedback on competitors’ activity, market prices etc.
Ensure that information provided to other departments is accurate and timely.
Work closely with the external sales force and internal customer service team to ensure information regarding enquires and prospects is communicated effectively.
Oversee implementation of price adjustments on company systems and issue letters to customers.
Commercially astute with the ability to identify and act on opportunities.
Able to lead and motivate their team to achieve business objectives.
Experienced in planning and organising themselves and their team
Able to analyse numerical data and understand pricing structures and calculations
Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers and suppliers
Actively familiarise yourself with the Company’s products, and competing products, to complement company product/process training provided.
Experience in recruitment and training of new employees.
