THE ROLE: Covering the U.K, the role of Sales Engineer will see you selling a wide array of products from industrial and electrical products including transformers, switchgear, motors, drives and automation. As Sales Engineer you will be selling into main distribution network operators dealing with Purchasing Departments, Directors and Engineers. The role is split between new business development and account management about a 60/40 split with new business coming from existing accounts and incoming leads. With projects ranging in value from £50K-£3million this role will require a sales professional used to longer lead times.
THE PERSON: In order to be considered for the role of Sales Engineer you must have an engineering background. Ideally your experience would have been gained in electrical engineering, but this is not a pre-requisite, our client will also look at established sales engineers who have a background in mechanical engineering. Our client is also looking to interview those sales engineers who are outgoing, energetic and are passionate about their careers.
THE COMPANY: Established for over 40 years our client has ambitious growth plans. They aim to add to their turnover by an additional £5million by investing in new product development and increasing their customer base. As the business grows its structure will change and this in turn will throw up additional career opportunities for those fortunate enough to join them.
THE PACKAGE FOR SALES ENGINEER:
- Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
- Commission: 10% - 20% of basic.
