Due to a period of significant and sustainable growth they are now looking to build their established team and take the company into the next phase in their development.  This is to ensure that they are able to continue to service their customers’ engineering needs and develop products for new industries.

As an experienced Sales Engineer / Account Manager you will:

• Be responsible for managing established accounts and providing engineering / technical advice on a range of company products
• Develop a robust sales plan, in order to drive the growth of service contracts
• Validate and develop a map of existing and prospective clients around the local divisions of the company
• Act as the technical “go to person” for local business units and associated divisions
• Develop sound proposal and quotation systems and a method for tracking these from initial discussions to final hand over
• Develop your sales plan to include visits and business development within existing and prospective customers
• Review, monitor & evaluate performance of assigned customer accounts
• Provide support for programs and plans within other areas of the business (Operations, Manufacturing, Service etc.)


In order to be considered for this Sales Engineer / Account Manager role it is expected that you will have:

• Experience within a technical sales function within an Engineering environment (ideally within the power generation, marine or similar heavy industries)
• Proven experience developing a territory and maximising opportunities
• An analytical mind in order to develop sales plans and create a “picture” of relevant activities within the territory
• An organised mind-set, be self-motivated and target orientated
• Some form of engineering qualification – HND as a minimum or an engineering degree – or significant experience within a similar role
• An ability to adapt and provide technical support, along with an ability to deal with all levels of engineer, from the shop floor to the board room
• A full UK driving licence and be happy to cover the UK, which will involve overnight stays
