Sales Director - Houseware/Home Furnishings

My client has over 20 years’ experience within the Home Furnishings/Textiles industry and trade with several the top retailers. Having been acquired by a large plc in 2016, the business is now set for a strong growth period. The business distributes products to over 90 countries worldwide along with a strong network of customers in the UK.
Due to growth, the business is now in a position to add a Sales Director to help implement the sales plan and grow the turnover of the business. Focussing largely on a new range of homeware products working with the likes of Dunelm, John Lewis and Next. Managing a turnover of around £2m, you will be expected to grow the overall turnover whilst managing a sales team of 9 sales reps, who focus on the independent channel.
As Sales Director you will be hands on with account management whilst also taking a strategic look at the business and plans moving forward. You will be from a Houseware/Home Furnishings/Textiles background and have strong relationships with some large retails e.g. Dunelm, Next and John Lewis. It is important that you can demonstrate a proven track record of new business development, opening large retail accounts.
