Sales Director - IT and Telecommunication

The Client:

Our client is a fast-growing Communications Services Provider.

Role & Key Responsibilities:

  • Successfully develop and implement sales and business development strategies.
  • Understand the target customer base to maximize productivity, ROI and sales.
  • Undertake various budgeting and planning exercise to support directors.
  • Maintain successful and trusting business relationship with partners and clients.
  • Strong market awareness through business mapping.
  • Responsible to set and manage expectations based on company KPI.
  • Manage and oversee the full life cycle of the sales process.
  • Identify upselling opportunities through regular account reviews and management.
  • Manage the performance of the sales team and offer coaching where appropriate.
  • Responsible for the closure of new deals as well as pricing and negotiating.
  • Understand the market and technology around the company’s products and services.
  • Ensure that the sales team is performing to the required standards.
  • Carry out forecasting and strategic sales planning to ensure business growth.
  • Offer ongoing support and assistance to existing partners to secure future business opportunities.
  • Create reports and deliver presentations on sales performance.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of the IT and Telecommunication industry.
  • Demonstrable track recdord of strategically changing a sales operaton, comprising of Solution sales people, to outstanding benefits.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Demonstrable team building and performance management skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Degree level education would be ideal.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Previous Business Development experience.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Measurable profitability, ROI.
  • Working on own initiative.
  • Strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
  • Quick learner with a natural flair for technology.
  • Demonstrable people management and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial sense.
  • Proven negotiator with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to positively influence and close business deals.
