Position Description: Vocera is looking for high energy, motivated and driven professionals to join our Sales Development Team. The Sales Development team is the first point of contact for our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads, working with the team to execute on marketing programs and lead generation activities with the goal of setting a qualified meeting for the field sales teams nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-bound calling activities to business prospects in an assigned territory

  • Prospect and identify key decision-makers at target companies and start building the foundation for a strong relationship

  • Conduct outbound calls to register contacts for regional events/webinars

  • Contact, qualify, and manage marketing leads from demand generation activities

  • Rate leads per established criteria and pass off as appropriate to assigned Area Sales Manager

  • Research and build new and existing accounts (i.e. adding contacts, sending regular emails and qualifying opportunities into the Account Executive pipeline)

  • Achieve or exceed monthly quotas of qualified opportunities

  • Collaborate with sales reps to maximize prospect potential, working closely with Account Executives to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities for new sales opportunities

  • Ability to build client relationships over the phone with professional phone presence

  • Self-starters with track records of success in their professional, personal or collegiate lives

  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and Outlook

  • Organized with a strong attention to detail and process

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

  • Strong email and web search skills

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 2 + years’ experience fast paced sales environment

  • Experience in high-volume outbound sales environment preferably within a software or hardware company

  • Has met or exceeded personal/team goals and quota

  • Proficiency with standard corporate productivity tools (Microsoft Office Suite, email, phone skills)Experience with salesforce.com and other on-line tools effectively

  • Strong desire to pursue a career in sales

  • No travel required
