Role: Sales Development Manager

Location: Central Chichester

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am until 5:30pm

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 plus bonus scheme (depending on experience)

My Client specializes in offering repair and maintenance contracts for domestic white and brown goods to UK consumers. We have acquired an established customer base which we wish to grow via new and existing channels. We have an exciting new opportunity for a Sales Development Manager to join our growing business.

Reporting to the Director, the Sales Development Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong and lasting relationships with new and existing customers and achieving sales targets to build the customer database nationwide.

Key activities will include:

Sales performance

  • Achieve sales targets utilising existing channels
  • Identify sales strategy to increase sales revenues
  • Identify and leverage potential sales opportunities within existing customer base
  • Identify potential partnerships within new and existing networks to generate customers
  • Maintain own product knowledge and awareness of competitor activity
  • Research and identify new products and services which can be offered to existing customer base


  • Develop and build strong relationships with all customers
  • Provide the highest level of customer service
  • Ensure customer discounts are appropriately applied based on spend levels
  • Ensure SLA's and KPI are met


  • Assist, liaise with and support the management team to ensure good working relationships and delivery of excellent customer service
  • Work with the Sales Manager and others to achieve sales targets and provide a connected approach to sales

Systems and processes

  • Maintain accurate customer records and adhere to the Data Protection Act
  • Ensure Sales and Marketing practices are GDPR Compliant
  • Interrogate sales data to ensure that multiple sales call objectives are set
  • Reviewing existing procedures and improving where possible
  • Ensure compliance with business standards and processes

In order to be successful for the Sales Development Manager position, you must:

  • Be a self-starter with a proven track record in building strong relationships and achieving sales targets in a B2C environment
  • Have extensive customer account management experience with a real passion for providing excellent customer service
  • Have a passion to succeed and a drive for career progression
  • Be IT literate, preferably with a good working knowledge of MS Excel

Skills you will require:

  • Ability to provide an exceptional customer service experience
  • Performance orientated with proven selling and negotiation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to work with a team as well as on own initiative
