£30,000-£40,000 + Bonus + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Desk Manager within the Powered Access industry. You will be the forefront of sales at an exciting business, dealing with existing accounts and bringing in new business.

As a growing company that prides itself on building strong relationships and providing the best service, we are always working on new ways of improving every aspect of our sales desk, from fundamental processes to fully utilising every sales opportunity. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and proactive Sales Desk Manager who will be responsible for the management, development and output of a team of Sales Advisors.

Utilising your strong leadership skills, you will need to be an exceptionally organised and dedicated individual that takes pride in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of this highly complex operation by leading, mentoring, supporting and motivating all members of the sales desk.

Role, responsibilities & duties will include:

-The effective line management of the sales desk team in the provision of outstanding customer service

-Ensure the sales desk team are maximising all sales/order opportunities to ensure the achievement of Company revenue targets and achievement of all additional sales opportunities

-Ensure all calls are handled professionally with an emphasis on winning orders at point of initial enquiry through negotiation as required

-Provide clear performance management linked to the achievement of targets and the identification of training and development needs

-Initiate telesales campaigns through outbound call activities and increase non-core sales through cross-selling and up-selling

-Set individual and team targets as required in line with Company goals and report on team performance and KPI achievement to the Board

-Work closely with both the Operations Director and Sales Director to provide a smooth and cohesive solution for best customer service and order fulfilment

-Liaise with Sales Director, field sales and account managers to ensure a joined-up focus on adding new trading accounts through proactive activities as well as the retention of customers through exemplary service

-Attend monthly sales meetings with the Sales Director and sales team

-Be an ambassador for Health and Safety compliance and standards

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience:

-Highly experienced in Sales and Management with a proven 3-year sales record

-Excellent communication skills with proven ability to manage, develop and motivate a sales team within a busy office environment

-A strong multitasked with a proactive approach and the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines and a varied workload

-Exceptional organisational skills with the capability to use own initiative

-Good IT skills

-Strong inbound and outbound B2B sales experience

-Experience within the Hire/Rental industry would be an advantage but not essential

-Ability to mentor and positively develop individuals
