A new role for a Sales Consultant has arisen due to the expansion of a very successful consultancy company. This business has done very well by increasing upon their client base which include a multitude of high profile global clients yet still retain their smaller clients who have been loyal from the start. The company’s ethos is that although what they do is highly specialist, they retain the human element both within their workforce and in the service they offer their clients. The role is based between Andover and Basingsoke with no transport links so you will need your own transport.
The lucky Sales Consultant will have the opportunity to be develped by a very influential and experienced Sales Director who is not only an expert in their field, they are also the one person you would absolutely flourish from in order to hone your craft. What do you need to have to be considered?
- A technical mind-set - this is imperative. The products you will in time be selling and the consultancy service you will offer does require someone who has a solid interest in IT or perhaps some form of experience within IT/Cyber Security/Software/Hardware systems - anything that screams "IT" and it will be right up your street.
- Maybe you have worked with niche technical/IT products such as mobiles/laptops and have been the star salesperson who gives your customers the right product with care and attention?
- Or maybe you haven’t had any direct sales experience so far, yet you know exactly that sales is your calling.
- Resourceful and tenacious - this is a sales role, so you will be cold calling/chasing leads and doing a lot of ground work in order to rise several levels once you gain more experience.
The role requires an exceptional telephone manner with the confidence to approach and pitch the company to new business prospects. It requires you to have intricate conversations with decision makers about their IT systems, so some form of commercial acumen and the ability to pick up on buying signals would be really beneficial.
Working alongside a sales and IT helpdesk service team, you will have plenty of help and advisors to call on - the whole team work so closely together and are excited to be welcoming an additional member to their flourishing team.
