Sales Co-ordinator

You'll be joining the sales team of a sucessful electrical distributor and responsible for;

Providing excellent customer service by proactively managing all stages of each enquiry through to order fulfilment and after-sales support, whilst communicating in a timely and effective manner with all concerned.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service in all interactions
  • Retaining the existing client base and maximising revenue and profit from Key Accounts
  • Acquiring new customer accounts to develop
  • Prioritising, preparing, sending and proactively following up on all quotations
  • Timely and accurate use of the CRM system
  • Efficiently processing customer orders, payments, returns, credit and advice notes
  • Progressing customer orders with suppliers and updating delivery times, etc
  • Working closely with the Purchasing, Accounts and Warehouse teams to ensure all goods are supplied and invoiced correctly
  • Dealing with any issues to their complete resolution and customer satisfaction
  • Answering technical support requests or re-directing to the relevant specialists
  • Consistently working to the defined company procedures
  • Liaising effectively with Head Office, purchasing, accounts and warehouse teams

Essential Skills / Experience

  • A self-motivated team player with a positive and respectful attitude
  • Office-based customer service experience
  • Good IT skills including CRM applications
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • Organised with the ability to manage a busy workload
  • Accurate with a good attention to detail
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to quickly learn enough about the core product range to handle customer enquiries effectively
  • Conscious of maximising the business opportunity as well as achieving excellent customer satisfaction

Highly desirable:

  • Electrical qualifications / industry experience
  • Electrical product knowledge

Remuneration package:

  • competitive basic salary, dependent on skills and experience
  • Uncapped commission structure
  • 28 days annual holiday (including Bank Holidays), rising to 33 with increasing tenure

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5.30pm
