Operating an international business supplying frozen food to major wholesale, retail and catering accounts this company is a well-respected market leader within its industry and garners envious attention from the wider grocery market. Now with plans to expand their presence in the countries they currently operate in and provide existing customers with a more bespoke customer service experience they are looking to augment their current sales team with this key appointment.
Based from the UK Regional Office near Reading, Berkshire this role reports to the General Manager and is responsible for the effective co-ordination of customer orders primarily in the UK market.Dealing with established customers the role is first and foremost about ensuring timely delivery of product via effective end to end management of the logistical process, issuing import/export documentation and spotting additional business opportunities within the account base. The position is predominantly an internal logistics/customer service position involving extensive telephone and e-mail use.
Applicants will ideally have a background of customer service within an office environment and be familiar with the challenges of dealing with clients operating to tight deadlines. Used to speaking to customers, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to solve a diverse range of day to day issues, applicants will be comfortable with all aspects of office work. This is an autonomous position with a high degree of responsibility and would suit an individual able to work on their own initiative. Offered initially as a 6 month contract with the possibility of either further contracts or the offer of a permanent position this role is available with an immediate start and can be seen as an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a busy import/export office.
