Sales Co-ordinator

Job Role
To provide support to the Business Development team by co-ordinating all sales activities for the site and coordinate diaries and visits to customers. The postholder will act as a point of contact for customers and will be required to follow up bids producing reports for management.

Key responsibilities and tasks

  • Coordinate sales team by managing schedules, filing important documents and communicating relevant information
  • Produces reports based on the sales information to inform the team on performance and opportunity development
  • Responds to any enquiries from the consumer
  • Ensure CRM is updated and accurately reflects the current sales activities as well as ensuring all customer contact details are up to date and accurate
  • Coordinates the diaries for the teams and creates visit plans managing all travel arrangements as required
  • Assists the marketing department in new marketing campaigns
  • Store and sort financial and non-financial data in electronic form and present reports
  • Oversee smaller bids and manage the bid calendars for approvals ensuring all required sign offs are achieved in a timely manner
  • Monitor the team`s progress, identify shortcomings and propose improvements
  • Assist in the preparation and organizing of promotional material or events
  • Support other sites activities and other internal administration associated with work on bids up to contract award
  • Provide administration support to the Commercial Function as required
  • Work closely with the Office Manager on travel requirements and general administration as required

Qualifications, experience and skills

  • Proven experience in sales; experience as a sales coordinator or in other administrative positions will be considered a plus
  • Good computer skills (MS Office)
  • Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; certification in sales or marketing will be an asset
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or defence environment - desirable
  • Experience at working within all levels of an organisation and externally
  • Able to forge strong working relationships both internally and externally
  • Good analytical skills
  • Some travel to other offices in the UK may occasionally be required.
