As a Sales and Marketing Executive you will proactively initiate and develop commercial relationships to generate revenue within your own portfolio of clients (both existing and new).
You will manage clients of all sizes from SME through to Corporates, and will need to build relationships and work on a solution base sell. Their success is based on working closely with clients developing close partnerships and helping their businesses grow by developing and delivering the best solutions possible!
You will be sector based and become a specialist in your chosen market, offering your clients insight and an understanding of the market in order to successfully sell solutions.
This is fast-paced, exciting and incredibly rewarding and it's often challenging too. You must be prepared to push yourself in a sales environment if you want to reap the rewards.
Many of these skills are easily transferred from your current or past work experiences. Have you ever had to negotiate with someone? Had to adapt your approach depending on your audience? Have you ever had to push yourself to achieve the best result?
A clear track record of success is essential, as well as continuity and progression within your current role. Whilst sales experience is highly desirable, it is essential you have demonstrable experience of achieving success in previous roles/personal interests.
