Job Title: Sales and Marketing Executive, Diagnostics (UK and Ireland)

Reports To: Head of Marketing, Diagnostics (UK and Ireland)
This company is a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of premium molecular diagnostic products and services that are used to diagnose human diseases, screen donated human blood and to aid in biomedical research. Their business is dedicated to impacting the lives of people across the globe through the early detection of disease, improved diagnosis and less invasive treatments.
As a result of continuing growth, they now have an immediate requirement for a Sales and Marketing Executive to join the UK and Ireland Diagnostics Franchise.
The primary function of this role will be to support execution of the UK and Ireland Diagnostic Divisions strategic plan and, as such, play an important role in delivering the divisional growth target. To do this the candidate will need to be creative, innovative and able to deliver on tight deadlines. In addition, the ability to build powerful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders will be key to their success.
This will be a very varied marketing role covering a broad range of administrative, marketing and product management activities and offers an excellent opportunity to develop and progress within the business for the right person. This is a role that requires a degree of autonomy and initiative.
Specific duties will include:
- Own a number of key administrative tasks including:
o Managing the marketing collateral approval process for all new marketing material
o Monitoring ongoing campaign spend against the budget, keeping accurate records and highlighting where variances occur
- Contribute to delivery of the strategic marketing plan
- In collaboration with international marketing, develop and adapt marketing materials for local requirements.
Support sales management in:
a. Creating competitive intelligence and train sales to become high performing
b. Use market intelligence to develop/execute on the strategic plan
c. Plan and track OPEX.
- Responsibility for the education and events portfolio
- Interact with customers, KOLs and industry thought leaders to gain insight on market and customer needs
- Undertaking detailed ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure targets are met
- Assisting in the production of ongoing competitor analysis and reporting
Degree level qualification, preferably in Marketing, Business or Life Sciences
Education & Experience:
Previous experience as a Marketing Executive, Marketing Assistant or Marketing Associate or a Junior Product Manager, ideally within healthcare, medical devices or pharmaceuticals
There is a need to be in the Slough office 40-60% of the time, with flexibility to travel to events, congresses and customer meetings as and when required
