Sales & Business Development Executive

Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

£30,000 - £38,000 DOE (plus bonus)

Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:

Rise10 Recruitment is partnering with a leading distributor of data networking products. This business supplies to the electrical wholesale marketplace, data infrastructure installers, and industrial end users.

Hours are 40 per week, 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focused on building customer relationships and business levels and working within a defined target list of new and existing customers and proactively calling new and dormant customers.
  • Selling existing products to customers that are already purchasing from an alternative source.
  • Forecasting, sales planning and ultimately winning new business.
  • Building product and brand awareness with customers.
  • Some external customer meetings may be necessary but not common.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Significant telephone sales experience, ideally in the data networking and/or electrical wholesale markets but not essential.
  • Full product and market training will be provided, but it would be advantageous to have experience of the UK Electrical Wholesale market and the market dynamics that operate within.
  • Experience of managing your own customer base with the potential to develop into more wider functions within the business management team.
  • Experienced in using CRM systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive, hardworking, can-do attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Dynamic with a good sense of humour and a passion for achievement and success.
  • Customer service focused approach.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Teams).
  • Attention to detail and organised.
  • Team player.
