Due to an internal promotion, a new opportunity has arisen for a proactive and experienced Sales Administrator to join a leading manufacturing organisation based in Rotherham.

Experience in a global sales or export environment is advantageous and the successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and strong organisational and planning skills.

Sales Administrator Key Responsibilities:

  • Discuss quotations with sales team in terms of price and delivery. Generate quotations ensuring costs are accurately recorded. Issue quotations to customers.
  • Liaise with customers on order requirements and timing.
  • Processing of sales orders and issue of sales contracts to customers. Follow up on open customer quotations.
  • Key account management administration for support to sales
  • Provide assistance to the sales team producing reports, spreadsheets, filing and general administration for the department.
  • Liaise with production department on prioritisation of orders in line with agreed customer requirements.
  • Liaise with shipping department on timing of shipments in line with customer requirements.
  • Consignment stock management.
  • Processing and issuing of Purchase Orders.
  • Customer complaint handling in the system, follow up and solution.
  • Provide effective interface with all departments.
  • Be aware of the financial implication of actions taken.
  • Contribute to cost down meetings, suggest cost saving ideas and assist in identification of routes to reduce levels of slow-moving stocks.
  • Facilitate lean ways of working with interface departments to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
  • Report on Customer Activities on a daily basis via internal reporting system.
  • Ensure safe working in all areas and in all aspects of the business.

This is a full time, permanent office-based position working Monday to Friday 09:00am - 17:00pm
