Central Employment are delighted to be working with a leading food packaging manufacturer based near Newcastle, as they look to recruit a Sales Administrator due to an increase in workload.

Purpose of the position

The Sales Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient operations.

Scope

The Sales Administrative Clerk reports to the management team and is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that municipal operations are maintained in an effective and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to ensure that municipal operations are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.

Main Activities:

  • Type correspondence, reports and other documents
  • Maintain office files
  • Quoting customers
  • Developing supplier relationships
  • Processing orders
  • Provide receptionist services
  • Answer phones
  • Direct calls and respond to enquiries
  • Perform other related duties as required

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

Knowledge

The incumbent must have proficient knowledge of the following areas:

  • Knowledge of office administration
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Experience of working within FMCG, Packaging or Print
