Sales Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity to work for our established client based in Hoddesdon. Our client is looking for an experienced Sales Administrator/ Customer Service person to join their busy team. This is permanent position, the hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm. The salary for this position is between £18K- £23k depending on experience.


  • Answering phones - dealing with calls or transferring if necessary
  • Dealing with Visitors, Couriers & Deliveries
  • Processing Consumable Orders

- Arranging dispatch of machines/consumables

- Manifests

- Despatch labels

  • Processing Machine Orders

- Invoicing

- Finance

- Updating stock database

- Updating customer database

- Ordering machines

- Arranging installation/delivery

- Arranging payments

- Daily service meetings & updating report/Sales Board

  • Sales Enquiries

- Updating Database with details and all following actions

- Pass to relevant salesman

- Tracking Enquiry

  • Processing requirements for demonstration/showroom kit
  • Correspondence - written or emailed

- Enquiries

- Quotations

- Service & Supplies Agreements

- General

  • Processing outgoing post
  • Tidying of showrooms
  • Filing, ordering of Office Supplies
  • Visitor refreshments/catering
  • Updating Price Lists for consumable, machines & maintenance
  • Registering & processing service leads
  • Sage/Equinox database updates

Key Skills

  • Conscientious, accurate with strong customer service skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Good level of numerical skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to liaise with external and internal contacts at all levels
  • A good team player


  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Intermediate IT literacy skills
  • Experience in Customer facing or customer services roles
  • Ability to learn technical knowledge of products
  • Excellent communication skills
