Would you like to be part of a new and expanding Sales Team based in a friendly office environment?

Job Description

You will be based at our purpose built facility in Slinfold, West Sussex and will be required to:

  • Professionally handle incoming customer enquiries via telephone, email and the web.

  • Co-ordinate and liaise with the Sales Team and internal Engineering Team.

  • Work with the Contact Management System (INFOR CRM) for account, contact and opportunity

    management.

  • Generate quotations and follow-up to close business in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Process incoming orders and liaise with the in-house Materials Team and External Factory Representatives.

  • Actively seek new business from existing Customers.

  • Proactively seek new customers for the product portfolio.

  • Follow up Quotes and Orders.

    The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and natural forward planner who critically assesses their own performance but is also credible and comfortable in dealing with both internal and external contacts. Reliable, tolerant and determined you will be an empathetic communicator who is well presented and business-like and has a keen eye for attention to detail with a positive, hardworking "can do" attitude. A team player with a flexible nature.

    Qualifications

    We are interested in receiving applications from individuals with an excellent, professional telephone manner, preferably with experience in a customer facing Sales role. Good IT skills are a must with knowledge of MS Office products - Word/Excel/Powerpoint/Outlook, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a mandatory requirement with the ability to work under pressure on many parallel and time critical tasks.

  • Maths and English to a good GCSE level standard are also required. Desirable, but not essential is experience of Sage Accounts, preferably Sage 200; CRM Systems, preferably INFOR CRM.

  • A Technical/Engineering qualification would also be of benefit, but again, not essential as training will be given. Occasional travel may be required for training purposes.
