Job Title: Sales Advisor

Salary: Negotiable + uncapped bonus

Role Overview

Business Switch Gas and Electric are currently looking for a number of Sales Account Managers to join our York Office.

Working as a Sales Advisor your day will consist of cold calling potential customers in relation to their energy procurement and management options. You will be establishing key relationships with business decision makers; therefore, a confident and driven attitude is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and build lasting business relationships
  • To achieve agreed personal and team sales targets
  • To secure new business using the telephone in the SME, Mid-Market and Corporate sectors
  • Overseeing the full sales process, from initial contract through to close
  • To create opportunities and co-ordinate the sign up of clients’ contract
  • To promote and support the launch of new products and initiatives as required
  • Management of new customer accounts after the contract start date
  • To ensure that loyalty amongst our customers is maintained to maximise future upsell and renewal opportunities
  • Active involvement in ongoing development
  • Effectively advise clients on relevant services and product offerings
  • Communicate and interact with business decision makers at all levels to identify needs and requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • A strong working history with minimal career gaps and longevity in roles
  • A creative ability coupled with excellent interpersonal skills to relate to key business decision makers at any level
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to overcome a wide range of objections
  • The interpersonal skills necessary to develop business relationships
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to motivate others
