£18,911 basic salary plus un-capped commission (£36,000 OTE)


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Account Manager to join my client based in Ellesmere Port. The position is to work within an established team in the company where you will be responsible for managing current business accounts and ensuring maximum profitability and usage. The opportunity is office based and is offered with a basically salary of £18,911 with un-capped commission (£36,000 OTE). Standard hours of work at 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. There is also free parking on site.

The main duties of a Sales Account Manager are;

  • Delivery excellent service and achieve sales and performance targets through effective account management
  • Keep in contact with key decision makers with a view to developing and maintaining strong business relationships
  • Use a consultative approach to identify up-sell/cross-sell opportunities in order to maximise account profitability
  • Assist the new business team in securing new contracts
  • Listen and understand the client’s needs to ensure tailored solutions
  • Arrange training for clients to further educate staff on products and service
  • Handle contract and subscription renewals
  • Make appointments for Regional Account Managers to ensure effective renewals of contracts if applicable
  • Act as the first point of contact for your clients and provide additional support or any issues they may have
  • Effectively manage your own diary of client calls and correspondence

To be considered for this position you must possess the following;

  • Account management or sales experience is vital within a business to business (B2B) setting
  • A high work ethic coupled with an energetic and methodical approach to work
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Strong verbal and listening skills coupled with a professional telephone manner
  • Basic IT skills
