Safety and Facilities Manager (Warehousing and Distribution)

Based Solihull

Salary £35K - £40k plus benefits

Our client a major FMCG / Logistics business are looking for a Safety and Facilities Manager

You will be responsible for proactively managing the effective running of all health and safety matters on site and to provide advice and guidance where appropriate to the management team.

Reporting to the General Manager:

The main role focus is:

  • Compliance with H&S Legislation
  • Accident investigation
  • Maintain Safety matrix and up-date weekly
  • Produce reports
  • Manage on-site contractors
  • Stakeholder relationships
  • Staff inductions
  • Staff H&S training
  • Manage site FM
  • Issue instructions for work
  • Deliver the agreed annual FM plan
  • Budgets
  • KPI'S
  • Continuous improvement
  • Attend internal or external meetings as required

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT literate
  • Flexible approach


  • Management Qualification (HND or Higher)
  • 17th Edition Electrical Regulations
  • NEBOSH Certificate - this is mandatory
  • Full driving licence
  • Ideally minimum 5 years’ experience within a maintenance and facilities role
  • Proven experience of managing people
  • Awareness of current Health and Safety legislation and practices
  • Excellent Communication skills


  • Be working towards a Nebosh diploma.
  • CAFM systems
  • Experience of working in a logistics environment
  • Knowledge of conveyor systems

We are looking for a dynamic Safety and Facilities Manager who understands managing site H&S, H&S Legislation, managing a team, building stakeholder relationships and managing general site FM. Ideally from a fast-paced manufacturing, retail logistics, 3pl, FMCG business or similar background.
