Are you perhaps in the teaching or training professions? Are you looking for something out of the mainstream? Perhaps an interim role where you can apply your skills in an associated type of work? If so this public sector role may appeal.
We are looking for someone who can advise vulnerable groups about hazards in the home, -particularly focussing on fire safety and other safety initiatives. You will deliver community campaigns and provide targeted information to a range of people including public, industry and other identified groups and organisations with the aim of improving safety in the community.
Typically you will be expected to deliver educational inputs to various groups on a regular weekly basis, and attend events and exhibitions at a wide variety of locations throughout Bedfordshire to provide fire and road safety education. A teaching background will be invaluable since the role also calls for experience of involvement in project work, reports and implementing procedures.
Essential qualifications include a relevant teaching or training qualification to level 4 (CTLLS), a full driving license and English Language and Mathematics grade 4 or above. The job is subject to enhanced DBS clearance.
