Safeguarding - social worker - North Tyneside - £25-£26 p/h

We are working on an exciting Children's Social Work opportunity for a busy Children and Families team for the North Tyneside Council.

The Safe and Supported Team deals with cases after they have been assessed and transferred from the Front Door/MASH. It works with children and young people in a Child in Need, Child Protection and Looked After basis.

You will ensure that a high quality of social care service is delivered and contribute to making a real difference to the safety and well-being of children. You will be responsible for managing a busy case load of children and families within Child Protection. You will also be required to attend court and give evidence where needed.

Coming from a background of working with children and families in difficult circumstances you will need excellent assessment skills. You will be expected to undertake good quality comprehensive assessments of children and families in collaboration with other agencies. Planning an effective outcome-focused intervention based on clear analysis and risk assessments. As well as monitoring and reviewing the progress of plans and outcomes.

You will need the following in order to be considered for the Role:
*BA/MA/BSc/MSc Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent).
*It is also essential that you be registered with the HCPC.
*Experience must have been gained post qualifying sufficient in order to settle quickly into this position.
*Reference Details to cover employment for the previous 5-year work history
*DBS on the update service or happy to process a new one
