A UK charity is looking for a software developer skilled in Ruby, to help take their technology platform to the next level.

Whilst the company's focus is on political campaigning, technology is core to their mission.

Being at the forefront of digital activism for almost a decade. The company is looking for talented engineers to turn their ideas into reality, which includes expanding to new channels such as mobile push and Whatsapp.

As a Ruby developer, you will get to work with a small yet high performing team that is collaborative, multidisciplinary and mission-driven, while earning £40,000 - £60,000 (with 27 days' annual leave and an extra 5 days optional unpaid leave a year!)

Your daily tasks will revolve around the design and execution of the company's platform, including fixing bugs and monitoring the performance of several inter-related apps.

This role is ideal for a problem solver and builder that gets excited about designing the whole architecture of an application. You will strive in this role if you are a quick learner with a passion for creating tech and new ways to engage millions of people in political action.

Tech Stack: Most of the company's applications are written in Ruby with Padrino and Rails frameworks, with some smaller apps in Node.js. They also take inspiration from the Twelve Factor app methodology to make scalable, easy-to -maintain and deploy code.
