Have you got a passion for wildlife and nature?
The UK is known for its greenery and grasslands, cliffs and coasts, and taking time to enjoy these surroundings is an invaluable pastime. Natural environments and the wildlife they home have an astonishing capacity to inspire us.
Help us give Nature a home!
When you think of 'home’, what springs to mind? A shelter from the elements? Safety and comfort? A space to raise a family? Natural environments in the UK make perfect homes for all kinds of wildlife, but due to habitat loss, our wildlife is in decline.
Of nearly 8,000 species assessed using modern Red List criteria, 15% are extinct or threatened with extinction from Great Britain, so we need to act now.
We are looking for enthusiastic and strong-willed fundraisers to join RSPB Fundraising Direct and become part of the solution! You’ll be a spearhead in raising funds for vital projects, such as projects to rescue habitats, restore the UK’s declining animal species, and campaign for environmental and wildlife protection.
RSPB Fundraising Direct (RFD) is the RSPB's private site fundraising team. We position our fundraisers at venues, including high footfall retail and leisure sites, aiming to recruit new members to the RSPB. You will inspire the public to give monthly donations through impassioned and informed conversations, whilst being an instrumental brand ambassador for the charity, and upholding the highest standards of behaviour.
You will be entering a working environment that sets you up to succeed, with excellent training, one to one mentoring and ongoing support from both your team and area line manager.
Benefits of the position include:
- A starting salary of £17,154 potentially increasing to £22,432 within the first 2 months, and entitlement to OTEs of £27,000 or more in line with performance.
- Travel expenses paid by the company
- 28 days paid holiday
- Pension scheme
- Opportunities for career progression
The RSPB is Europe’s largest wildlife conservation charity, and we have the power to do a world of good in the face of challenges posed to nature. Join us as a professional fundraiser - become a crucial part of this meaningful cause!
You are required to hold a full UK drivers license and have your own vehichle for this role.
