Royalties Assistant

An opportunity to work for a highly successful global TV Production and Distribution company within their busy Royalties team. Reporting into the Assistant Manager this position will be a key member of the team handling the calculation and processing of beneficiary payments. Working on a number of large shows this role requires an experienced Royalties person who has worked within TV or Film.

This position will work on both UK and International shows and requires a logical and hardworking individual who thrives on meeting deadlines and being busy.

The Role:

  • Prepare beneficiary and agency statements defined within contractual agreements to strict deadlines for your own set of accounts; providing supported information of audit purposes
  • Prepare financial journals and payment headers for input into the accounting system; ensuring accounting entries (vendors, advances, recharges etc) are complete and accurate
  • Prepare schedules to support the recharges shown on the beneficiary and agent statements
  • Initiate payment to beneficiaries, either through preparing self-billed invoices or requesting invoices
  • Liaise with internal and external individuals to resolve any queries, escalating as necessary

The Person:

  • Previous royalties experience gained within a TV, film or similar industry
  • Highly numerate, accurate and with excellent attention to detail
  • A good understanding and ability to interpret contractual agreements
  • Organised, methodical and logical
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations
  • Experience of SAP would be an advantage
