Rough Sleepers Initiative - Housing First Worker

£8,473 - £9,292 pa, plus £391 car user allowance per year (FTE £21,622 - £23,713 pa)

14.5 hours per week

We are looking for a team member to join our well established and successful Housing First team, which is part of the Rough Sleepers Initiative (RSI) in East Sussex and funded by the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

You will join a supportive and professional team to deliver a responsive service to rough sleepers in Eastbourne, Lewes and Wealden area. The Housing First worker will support rough sleepers adjust to living in accommodation, with their move in and resettlement needs and will provide intensive wrap-around tenancy sustainment support to prevent these individuals from returning to rough sleeping in the future. Street engagement and outreach is also a big part of the role, meeting rough sleepers at their sleep sites, and attending drop-ins. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to ensure individuals support needs are identified and addressed in a holistic manner. The successful candidate will have a flexible and dynamic approach to working with people who may present with complex needs, having experienced trauma and homelessness.

You will be required to work from home (access to internet connection required), attend a Covid safe office when required and be able to work out in the community with clients whilst adhering to social distancing guidelines and Covid safe practices from the date that employment commences. You will also be working closely with partners across the statutory and voluntary sector to ensure each individuals support needs are identified and addressed in a holistic way.

The hours for this role will be Thursday 09:00-17:00 and Friday 09:30-16:30.
