Physiotherapy Departments, Dundee
Rotational Physiotherapist – Band 6
Fixed Term / *Secondment – 1 Year
[Salary Scale : £26,830 - £35,933 per annum]
This post provides the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and supervisory experience in the following 9-monthly rotations across Dundee: Respiratory (including ICU and HDU), Orthopaedics, Women’s Health, Acute Medicine, Neurosciences / Stroke, Elderly Rehabilitation, Community Rehabilitation and Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Cardiac Rehabilitation.
You should have demonstrable advanced clinical skills/knowledge, from postgraduate courses/in service, as evidenced in your Continued Professional Development portfolio with comprehensive knowledge of best practice / clinical guidelines / standards across the specialities. You will have a caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge, have responsibility for the supervision, education and development of more junior staff, physiotherapy support workers and students within the speciality, provide a specialised resource to other healthcare staff/patients/carers and have an active involvement in Clinical Governance and Clinical Effectiveness and Research. The department has strong links with Universities providing student placements primarily from Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
The Physiotherapy service in Dundee (Tayside) has recently won national awards across several specialties, and all staff are dedicated to deliver the best service possible through expanding skills and knowledge, streamlining service and providing the best in patient care.
