The robotic systems engineer will be responsible for engineering, designing, simulating, programming, commissioning and optimising industrial solutions for robotic material storage, handling, processing and distribution machines and production solutions.
The responsibilities for the Robotics Systems Engineer will include the following:

- Functional Design Specification development

- Health & Safety Documentation development

- Quality and Compliance Documentation development

- System engineering and design for robotic handling and processing applications

- Robotic machine layout, tooling and process equipment configuration using CAD

- Robotic machine validation using simulation (reach, access, cycle time, configuration)

- Robotic OLP (Off-line Programming) using simulation (logic and path programming)

- Network and Communication Interface development (Robot-PLC)

- Robotic machine commissioning including electrical, interfacing, paths and process

- Installation and commissioning of industrial sensors, instrumentation and actuators

- Project engineering and management of sub-projects and external contractors

The candidate will need to possess the following qualifications, experience and skills:

- Electrical, Control or Mechanical Engineering Degree

- Robotic Programming and Operation Certification

- experience

- Working for a system integrator/builder of Robotic Machine Solutions

- Robotic solutions for Material Handling, Processing and Machine Vision

- Industrial networking/interfacing solutions for Controls & Instrumentation

- ABB/Staubli Robotic Programming Skills

- Visual Components Simulation Skills

- Network Interfacing Skills (ProfiNet, EtherNET, EtherNETIP)

- Electro-mechanical Engineering and Design Skills

- Machine Directive Knowledge and Understanding

The following would be desirable but not essential:

- PLC/MLC Programming skills (Desirable)

- C# or C++ programming Skills (Desirable)

- Solidworks CAD Skills
