We operate an integrated Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) with a DfE registered school. Our specialist pathway offers an open acute admissions service, and a pre-discharge wing to allow for a smooth transition for patients returning home to their families. The hospital also operates a low secure service for men which is run in a joint working arrangement with Kent and Medway Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
We provide a low secure service for men with enduring mental illness, including those with a personality disorder or those detained under the Mental Health Act.
We are looking for a dynamic RMN to work within our low secure unit. You'll be organised and compassionate and have a determined focus on patient recovery. You'll monitor, manage and reduce risk while helping to prepare service users for independent living. Experienced in working in mental health, you'll work with our skilled teams helping patients with a range of issues such as autistic spectrum disorder, personality disorder and those who are recovering from substance misuse. You'll need to have exceptional clinical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a busy team. Previous acute or secure experience would be beneficial, although applications are welcome from RMNs with experience in alternative settings.
