A top tier bank based in London urgently require a Risk and Control Manager, to join their Product team on a fixed term contract. The key purpose of the role is to support the Heads of Product and Sales, to discharge their risk, control, compliance and governance responsibilities for the Corporate portfolio.

Responsibilities of the Risk and Control Manager will include:

Develop and implement control frameworks to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.
Maintain control documentation and monitoring evidence to support assurance reviews and/ or control attestations.
Operate relevant control frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
Ensure the ownership and operation of controls through the monitoring of relevant MI and performing sample testing where appropriate.
Develop and deliver appropriate training to ensure understanding of roles and responsibilities in managing Risk.
Support raising and managing risk events and control issues.
Manage and maintain relevant risk and control documentation, including meeting paper preparation, collation of information for attestations, and where required regulatory submissions.
Assisting the network of Risk Champions to raise awareness and understanding of risk management in their teams.

Successful Risk and Control Manager will have:

Previous experience of risk management, within a FCA regulated risk environment. Practical experience in supporting a business to understand and apply regulatory requirements E.g. SYSC, CDD, PSD, IAR etc.
Good understanding and knowledge of Operational Risk and Internal Control principles and operating according to the three lines of defence risk management model
Previous experience of developing, implementing and operating risk management frameworks.
Financial services experience is essential and corporate credit cards experience preferable.
Strong understanding of developing, implementing and operating risk management frameworks.
Analytical with the ability to interpret highly complex technical policy and regulatory requirements and translate it into practical business requirements.
