Risk Analyst - live transactions

We are looking for four Risk Analysts. This is a new position within a new team at an established company and is a great opportunity to be part of something really exciting.

Our client is a payments company, offering various payment solutions to their customers in the hospitality, retail and corporate sectors. They have recently merged with a large international company, and its already very healthy growth has accelerated at an amazing rate. It is this bank which is now recruiting new staff to support its acquisition.

On a day to day basis you will be dealing with flagged transactions on customers’ accounts. These are card payments taken which do not fit in with the normal criteria of that customer. You will need to investigate each case, logging all findings and contact carefully on the Database. You will need to be organised and able to manage your workload to ensure that all cases are fully resolved, recorded and followed up where necessary. You will be natural and comfortable on the phone, and have a good standard of grammar and spelling to ensure professionally written emails are sent.

There may be occasion when you are dealing with missing payments, payment disputes and transaction queries. You will identify fraud and when customers are victims of fraud. Therefore you will need excellent attention to detail, a meticulous and methodical way of working, and tact and diplomacy when handling potentially difficult situations.

As the position is new you will have the opportunity to be involved in refining processes, finding the best ways of working, problem solving and this offers a real chance of progression and growth.

This role will use your strong and friendly communication skills, your organisation and your time management. You will be comfortable following carefully set out processes and procedures. You will be able to read people, use your initiative and be very thorough in your investigations.

This will be a very busy role, with challenges and reward. The ideal candidate will have at least one years’ office based financial experience and be well versed in Microsoft Office. You will be energetic, dynamic, helpful, hands on, willing and able to take control of situations that have a problem that needs solving. You will be able to think on your feet, be patient and understanding and manage situations as they arise.

Based in the north of Bishops Stortford, the offices are smart and provide a comfortable working environment. There is onsite parking and a staff kitchen. There are regular social events, pizza days, and the team make it a really great place to work.

The salary for this role will be around £22,000, depending upon your relevant experience. The company also offer a pension, 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays, private healthcare and a varied benefits scheme.
