Purpose of the job:
Be responsible for all aspects of the laboratory, including equipment maintenance, functional testing, assembly and support of the unique prototype antenna systems.
Duties and responsibilities:
Performing component level work on pc boards; often at very fine pitch; Troubleshooting and soldering (including with Microscopes); Constructing various PCB level prototypes; Assembling of RF components into unique antenna systems; Diagnosing boards and units down to component level of failing products and recommend appropriate corrective actions; Performing functional testing of antenna systems in the lab as instructed by the SAT project managers; Performing, recording, collecting and organizing all data and documentation for each test performed, diagnosing test equipment-related faults, and providing failure reports; Setting up SAT test fixtures and testing equipment as required; Performing RF testing on a wide variety of RF antenna systems;

Experience of operating and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic equipment.
Familiar with use of various test equipments (oscilloscopes, voltmeters, signal generators, RF receivers, VNA etc)
A HND or degree in one of the following subjects: ➢ biology; ➢ biomedical science; ➢ biotechnology; ➢ chemistry; ➢ environmental science; ➢ forensic science; ➢ materials science/technology; ➢ pharmacology; ➢ physics; Familiar with Laboratory accreditation; Good understanding of RF circuit and antenna systems.
