Retirement Living Housing Officer

Letchworth Garden City

£22,648.00 per annum

Part-time, permanent role

18.5 hours per week (Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday)

Our client has 15 Retirement Living schemes which provide safe and secure homes specifically for people over the aged of 55 who want to remain independent.

Although our client has been around for 15 years, social housing has experienced significant changes. They feel now is the right time for us to transform the way they deliver services. They’re passionate about maintaining their social purpose and providing affordable homes for local people. As they transition they aim to continue to support customers and build strong, independent communities and ensure the services they offer are easy to access, require low effort and their promise to do what they say they will do is fulfilled.

They are currently looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring older people enjoy a good quality of life. Working from the schemes within their housing stock, the role is key in helping customers to maintain their tenancies and remain independent for as long as possible.

Working to provide the best easy to access service possible, you will look for ways to improve services and help customers to access additional specialist help when needed. You will maintain excellent community links with voluntary and statutory organisations allowing customers to benefit from the range of services available to them.

The successful candidate will already have a proven ability to build good working relationships with an elderly customer group along with a clear passion for great customer service. A commitment to upholding and living our client’s values with a strong commitment to diversity is essential.

Due to the nature of the role, you must have a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
