The main purpose of the role is deliver the day to day operational management function to three retirement living schemes in the Stoke On Trent area, ensuring that excellent customer service is achieved, performance is maximised and that all activity supports the achievement of the group's vision and is reflective of older people's aspirations.
Your key duties will include :
*Have responsibility for the management of devolved scheme budgets by ensuring that appropriate budgetary control is exercised and value for money is delivered.
*Ensure that Key Performance Targets relating to tenancy management are met.
*Achieve agreed levels of customer satisfaction within Retirement Living Services schemes.
*Ensure a positive climate for resident involvement is created within the retirement living schemes.
*Ensure the quality of products and services within retirement living services meets the requirements of the Group and national service standards where applicable.
*Maintains successful relationships with local authorities, partners and stakeholders that are crucial to the successful delivery of the retirement living services schemes.
The ideal candidate would have the following skills / experience :
*Experience of managing older peoples housing services/schemes
*Experience of delivering new schemes and services
*Experience of housing legislation and tenancy/housing management principles
*Respect for residents, sees self as customer advocate and is committed to going the extra mile
*Organisational skills and ability to prioritise a busy and reactive workload
*Positive attitude and flexible
*Effective communication skills to be able to work with members of the public, particularly older people in an empathetic manner, and to be able to communicate information in a clear and understandable manner.
