Retail Development Director

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Retail Development Director to join our Londis Field Team. Our Head Office is based in Harefield, Middlesex and you would be required to travel to HO occasionally but not regularly. This position is covering the South East Region.

The purpose of this position is to manage a defined Region, and lead a field based Team who will have total responsibility for sales, debt, margin, cash profit and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for making sure your team meet retailer business plans, operational & financial targets.

About the role:

You will be responsible for creating action plans for the region to deliver the Retail Strategy, as well as delivering brand targets for sales, cash profit and margins. You will ensure your team are supporting their retailers with training, development and coaching and will work with them and your field team to maximise margin and sales development across the region.

In addition, you will manage a field team and be responsible for attracting, developing and retaining the best talent within your region. You will conduct performance reviews, and coach your team to improve on KPI’s and identify opportunities.

About you:

To be successful for the role your skills/experience should include;

  • Possess a full UK driving license
  • Excellent level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of food wholesale & Convenience sector
  • Familiar with the local area and the social and economic factors affecting the area
  • Must have experience of managing and leading a field based team
  • Commercially & Financially focused
