Qualities We Are Looking For in a Retail Customer Service Assistant:

The ideal retail customer service assistant will be excited, friendly, outgoing, and have a strong desire to succeed. The right personality is very important for this role, so you will need to be comfortable talking to clients from a range of different businesses and management levels. Strong communication skills are vital, both in person, over the telephone, and via the written word.

Retail Customer Service Assistant, day to day will include;

As a Hegemonic Retail Customer Service Representative, you will be expected to engage with clients via telephone, email, and face-to-face. Your priority will be to resolve client issues in a friendly, helpful manner and inquiries will need to be dealt with as quickly as possible. Other aspects of the job include:

  • Attending client meetings.
  • Keeping up to date with current price tariffs and informing customers accordingly.
  • Tracking sales.
  • Updating the customer database.
  • Upselling where applicable.
  • Customer retention.
  • New customer acquisition.
  • General admin.
  • Any other duties as required.

Work History

Previous experience in a customer service/sales environment is desirable, but not essential, as all relevant training will be provided to the successful candidate. The right personality and a willingness to learn are more important.
