An exciting new opportunity to be a Category Manager Assistant for a fast growing, independent builder's merchant in London. This job is ideal for an enthusiastic, driven and hardworking individual who is looking to drive our business to the next level.
You will be responsible for the online and in store performance of a specific category of products, working closely alongside the category buyer as well as the online marketing team. In line with our traditions, high performers will be promoted to become category buyers.
The job role is open across numerous categories including: Kitchen & Bathrooms, Tools, Fixings & Ironmongery, Heating & Plumbing, Building & Roofing, Drylining & Insulation, Timber & Sheet Materials and Decorating, Tiling & Flooring. Although experience in one of these categories is desirable it's not essential.
You will monitor and maintain sales figures both in store and online whilst constantly striving to provide our online customers with the best and most engaging on-page experience, which leads to higher sale figures including growing conversions and customer retention rates.
Key Responsibilities
*Closely monitor sales figures both in store and online
*Monitor click through rates to better adapt the product viewing order and product ranges to the needs of the market.
*Maintain product and cross sales data.
*Enrich product titles, pictures and descriptions with SEO guidance
*Maintain ERP product data
*Communicate regularly with the Google Ad Manager to ensure sales are efficiently maximised.
*Continual price analysis of competitors ensuring we remain price competitive.
*Monitor inventory levels, refund rates and product reviews to make sure that the order fulfilment levels and customer satisfaction levels are maximised.
*Analysing sale trends both in store and online
Key Skills Required
*Proven analytical and problem solving skills (experience using Google Analytics is desirable)
*Meticulous attention to detail
*Good business acumen
*Strong commercial sense
