JS is Manchester’s longest running Kosher restaurant and is currently looking for a Restaurant Manager to run their fast food / deli takeaway side of the business following their grand re-opening and full refurbishment, after being closed for the past 9 months following an arson attack.
After being in business for 62 years, JS has a fantastic reputation with the Jewish community for serving the best Kosher food in the north of England.
You will oversee the kitchen, preparing sandwiches, burgers, soups and a variety of other snacks for customers using the takeaway side of the restaurant.
The 50-seat takeaway section is currently open with the 150-seat dining area opening within the next few weeks.
As the Restaurant Manager, your main duties will include:
·Opening the takeaway and performing end of day duties including cashing up the tills.
·Preparing and packing food such as sandwiches, burgers and soups to the highest standard.
·Cleaning the seating area, food display stands and food preparation stations.
·Taking orders both on the phone and face to face.
·Liaising with the owner and all staff members to ensure the takeaway runs smoothly.
To be a successful Restaurant Manager, you will have the following skills and experiences:
•Previous experience dealing with the public and customer complaints.
•A friendly and efficient manner.
•Strong knowledge of food preparation.
•Previous experience as a chef would be beneficial.
•The ability and confidence to cook high quality food to order.
•The ability to communicate clearly and confidently to all team members.
•The ability to work under extreme pressure as well being well organised.
You will be working on a rota basis in between the hours of 11:30 - 15:00 and 17:00 - 23:00 Sunday - Thursday. JS doesn’t open on Fridays or Saturdays.
In return, the Manager will receive a salary of £10-£15 per hour depending on experience.
